Please provide the following materials to be considered for admission:

  1. APPLICATION : Please complete the on-line application with the Graduate School.

  2. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Tell us about yourself. Why do you wish to pursue a graduate degree in physics? Which subfield(s) of physics do you wish to study? Provide information about any research you may have undertaken.

  3. LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Please have at least three letters of recommendation sent. Choose professors carefully - someone who knows you beyond the classroom, who can assess your proficiency in physics and your creative ability.

  4. TRANSCRIPTS: Please have your official transcript(s) sent from any post-secondary institution(s) you have attended.

  5. GRE: The general GRE is required. We strongly encourage you to take the subject GRE, as it often helps us better determine a student's ability in physics. You should preferably take the exams by the end of December. Be sure to have the scores sent to our university.

  6. TOEFL: All international applicants who have not received a degree from a U.S. institution are required to take the TOFEL. The required minimum scores are 230 (computer-based exam), 570 (paper-based exam), or 80 (TOFEL iBT exam).
